Principal Speech
“Resilience and positivity.” These are the qualities of our brilliant learners as described by SUIS-Gubei Principal, Mr. Walsh. Our G12 students have endured and persevered through all the challenges presented during the rigorous IB Diploma programme coming out with an amazing selection of university offers from top post-secondary institutions across the world.
Our Chinese Principal Mr. Liu also said the path is bound to be full of hardships and challenges. But as long as the focus is on real human nature and life, as long as the pace is firm and far in sight, you will be able to achieve your own wonderful life.
HOG Speech
Ms Li and Mr Luby
Support your children and always help them when they need it. You have done everything you can to prepare them for this moment, so now it is time to let them explore the world. Give them the space to make mistakes and find their way. Things may seem strained now, but quickly your students will realize and appreciate your help in this whole life journey. Love eagerly, criticize strategically, and support enthusiastically.
Graduation marks your passage into adulthood, the time when you begin to take charge of your own life, the kind of career you want to pursue, and decide what values you want to live by. Speaking from my own experience, your overseas study will be rewarding.

SUIS GB 2022-2023 head prefects,
Jenny Chen, Yoyo Wang, Gary Mei and Chyanne Goh as student representatives to deliver their valedictory (section)

These memories will go beyond high-school, like the bottle of perfume I still carry in my bag, it will follow us forever. The morning registrations taught us how to be on time (hmm, most of us), thanks to my form tutor Mr. Marcopoulos, I had to make sure I’m in the class room 59 seconds past 8:19, thankfully, there will always be someone even later than me, the back row you know what I’m talking about… The reminders from our teachers to tuck our shirt in taught me how to be neat and look smart. And prefects! The first time putting a badge felt like yesterday, our dinner after presenting three Christmas assemblies, staying late for parents evenings, hosting assemblies. I remember I had to do prefect duty right after school and then my homework, then at around 5, we had basketball training to 8, going back home, I had to write my IA. This year, sometimes are waking up at 6:30 to go to basketball trainings. I know these experiences might be tough or hard but as…
