Theory of Knowledge (TOK) is a mandatory IB diploma component that compels students to think critically about knowledge and how it impacts their lives. The TOK exhibition is an assessment that encourages students to combine the knowledge of every discipline and relate it to the world beyond the classroom.

The TOK exhibition explores how Theory of Knowledge manifests in the world around us. It is an internal assessment component. It is marked by TOK teachers and is externally moderated by the IB. Internal assessment is an internal part of all DP courses. It enables students to demonstrate the application of their skills and knowledge, and to pursue their personal interests. Students are required to create an exhibition of three objects that connect to one of the 35 ‘IA prompts’, which are ‘knowledge questions’ provided by the IB.
The TOK community presented the annual Theory of Knowledge Exhibition on the 23rd May at SUIS-Gubei, which was an excellent event. One hundred and forty seven students exhibited their TOK Exhibition work. They had an opportunity to discuss/ interact with the visitors, show their critical thinking skills and share thought provoking experiences with their audience.
We are very pleased with the outcome of this exhibition, which came into existence through the hard work of our G11 students, teachers, and the members of all of our academic community. We are also grateful to the parents who came to support us and enhance the exhibition with their presence!
The TOK community would like to extend sincere gratitude to all the participants of this fantastic event and look forward to another successful one in the next academic year.
