Shanghai United International School (SUIS) Gubei has achieved remarkable success in university admissions for Class of 2026. 141 offers came from institutions ranked in the QS World University Top 30 and U.S. News Top 30, showcasing the school’s consistent academic excellence and the strength of our graduating cohort.
In the United Kingdom, SUIS Gubei students received offers from the most prestigious universities, including 3 from the University of Oxford, 5 from Imperial College London, and 23 from University College London. These results highlight the school’s growing recognition among top-tier UK institutions, particularly Oxford’s highly competitive programs, including PPE.
SUIS Gubei demonstrated exceptional strength in the American university admissions, especially within the Ivy League and top U.S. universities. Students earned offers from Cornell University, Columbia University (a dual program with Trinity College Dublin), University of California–Berkeley, Vanderbilt University (2 offers), and Carnegie Mellon University, University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill (2 offers), University of Southern California (6 offers), among others.
The University of California system proved to be a particularly strong area for SUIS Gubei graduates this year, with an impressive tally of offers: UCLA (5), UC San Diego (12), UC Davis (29), UC Irvine (8), UC Santa Barbara (7) and numerous others across the system, reflecting the school’s outstanding performance in one of the most competitive public university systems in the world.
Equally impressive are the results from top liberal arts colleges, such as Wellesley College, Carleton College, Barnard College (Columbia University), Middlebury College, Hamilton College, Colby College, Grinnell College, and Wesleyan University.

Although admission to universities in Hong Kong is fierce this year, our Class of 2026 still managed to get 19 offers from the University of Hong Kong and 8 from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Additionally, a student earned an offer from Peking University Health Science Center in China for its medicine program, a highly competitive and sought-after major attracting hundreds of applicants every year.
This year’s admissions cycle also stands out for the range of challenging and prestigious majors secured, including law and clinical medicine—disciplines known for their rigorous admissions standards. Students also gained entry into fields such as accounting, finance, computer science, engineering, biomedicine, psychology, arts, history, politics, design, hospitality management, and environmental studies, speaking to the diverse talents and ambitions of the cohort.
