So far our 148 G12 graduating students have received 567 offers from universities. These offers cover a wide range of subject areas: Science, Math, Humanities, Arts etc. This particular article focuses on our arts and music offers. We will later post similar articles focusing on Science, Math, STEM offers and Humanities offers. I studied at the University of the Arts (UAL) London, one of the leading university destinations for studying art and design in the world, and my daughter recently completed her studies in the IB Diploma Programme and is also now studying at UAL. It is unusual for a school principal to come from a background in visual art, but I am great believer in the importance of art in our lives and I think there is more recognition now, and more possibilities in terms of career development, life fulfillment and most importantly having a positive impact on the world, from studying in art related areas. In short, the advantages of having a creative mindset, and thinking out of the box, are clear and undeniable in the world that our children are growing up into.
